The average turbo blade travels over two and a half million miles in its lifetime. Air in a petrol engine turbo can reach temperatures of 1000 degrees. Turbo diesels are up to 70% 'cleaner' and 10% more fuel efficient than naturally aspirated diesels. Even in a family car, air can meet the turbo impeller faster than the speed of sound (760mph). | All our turbo's are remanufactured and not reconditioned. A remanufactured turbo has all new internal components and a cleaned shot blasted and cracked checked housing, if the housing is worn or cracked a new housing is supplied. A reconditioned turbo is checked any and internal components that are reusable are reused instead of being replaced, a reconditioned turbo is rarely balanced, and usually the housing whatever the condition is cleaned and reused. |
